Senior Pastor

Rev. H. Paul Widen
Pastor Paul Widen, a native of St. Paul, Minnesota, serves as the Senior Pastor of Oak Hill.  Pastor Paul and his wife JoLayne have two children, Emily and Josh.  He attended Bethel College (now University) and Seminary, as well as the University of Minnesota and the University of Iowa. 

In 1983, Pastor Paul was ordained at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis.  He went on to be a Chaplain for the US Air Force Reserves, then Youth Pastor for Bethany Baptist Church.  He has served as Senior Pastor for Valley View Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids, IA, and Salem Baptist Church in New Brighton, MN.  He served as Interim Pastor at Lake Sarah Baptist and at Oak Hill before becoming Senior Pastor in April 2001.

Associate Pastor

Rev. Dave Briley
Pastor Dave, a native of Lima Ohio, has served as the Associate Pastor of Oak Hill Baptist Church since February 2000.  He is an alumnus of North Central Bible College (now University) and has studied at the University of Minnesota, Syracuse University, and the University of North Florida.

Pastor Dave and his wife, Sharon, have been part of the Oak Hill congregation for over thirty-five years.  Their three daughters, Shari, Kim, and Debbie were reared at Oak Hill and all three accepted Christ here at the church.  Shari and Kim are still involved with Oak Hill.  Debbie lives with her family in Wisconsin.  Now, Pastor Dave and Sharon are watching their grandchildren grow up at Oak Hill.

In January 1998, Pastor Dave completed a twenty-five year career with the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, retiring as the senior captain.  He began serving Oak Hill as visitation pastor at that time, was ordained in December 1999, and was called to his current position in February 2000.  He also serves on the Civil Service Commission of Columbia Heights and in other civic volunteer roles.
